Dr. Walton H. Rose Sr. is a 35-year veteran of preaching the word of God. His work includes a plethora of duties: soul winning, building leadership strategies with his fellow ministers, equipping church leaders, strategic planning and providing guidance and counseling to his congregants' felt needs.

Dr. Rose has lived in England, Jamaica, and the United States. He has traveled and evangelized in Europe, Australia, Africa, New Zealand, the Caribbean and the American and Independent Samoa, proclaiming the gospel. He has conducted numerous evangelistic Crusades, workshops, and seminars nationally and internationally. Through his written book on discipleship entitled Each One Reach One, and the spoken word, he has baptized thousands.

In addition, he built churches in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Prattville, Alabama, as monuments to continue the worshiping of God.

Dr. Rose attended Atlantic Union College where he received his B.A. in Theology, then went on to Andrews University and received a Master's of Divinity degree in 1983. Subsequently, in 1996 he achieved his Doctor of Ministry degree from Andrews University's Theological Seminary. His thesis was on "Discipleship "– empowering church leaders and congregants to become effective, reproducing witnesses for Christ. He also completed Clinical Pastoral Education Training at Columbia University in Psychotherapy and Pastoral Supervision.

Dr. Rose has been married to Rose, an educator for 34 years. Together they have five children, Renee, Walton Jr., and Romier, Janiel and Alexis. Jointly, they served in the South Central Conference for 7 years and in the Lake Region conference for 10 years and were instrumental in the Capital improvement project for the Capital City SDA school. Through a grant from the Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Company and fundraising, they acquired over 1 million for the school project.

In 2000, Dr. Rose returned to service in Northeastern, his home conference, where he has served as pastor of the Faith SDA Church, White Plains SDA Church and as Ministerial Secretary. As ministerial secretary he implemented several innovative programs:
Elders and Deacons Consortium Training, Pastoral Leadership Training, Clinical Pastoral Education Classes, that empowered ministers and laity alike to become effective leaders and work cooperatively to Impact positive change in their churches. He recently pastored the Shiloh SDA church in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Dr. Rose's primary goal and objective is to see others come to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He empowers all to obey the Great Commission of Matthew 28: 19–20 "Go, Teach, Baptize, and Make Disciples."
